#YMCMB Lil Wayne Signs 150 Million Record Deal

Lil Wayne might have 150 million new reasons to celebrate. It’s been speculated that the rap star just signed a $150 million, 4-album deal to re-up with Cash Money Records. While his label boss Bryan “Birdman” Williams wouldn’t confirm the official sum, he did tell MTV Monday that “it’s probably the biggest deal ever in urban music.” “I’m blessed to even do that,” Birdman said of the rumored astronomical figure he paid to keep Wayne, who signed to Cash Money when he was just a kid. “Whatever my son want, he can get. It’s all his anyway, so it don’t really matter to me.” Without Wayne, the Young Money/Cash Money empire doesn’t exist, Birdman added of the rapper’s central position. Wayne himself referenced his long-standing relationship with the label on an episode of MTV’s “Hip Hop POV” a few weeks back. “Everybody knows I came into the game at 11 years old with Cash Money Records, before we even had a major deal,” he said of his new contractual situation. “We signed a deal in I don’t remember when, and I been with Cash Money ever since. So, if you’re looking for integrity, I am the definition. If you’re looking for a person that’s gonna stay down, I am the definition. If you’re looking for loyalty, I am just that.” Looks like the new deal comes at just the right time: Birdman recently told XXL magazine that Cash Money is headed to Hollywood. He’s apparently looking to launch his Cash Money Films project with a movie starring his entire YMCMB squad, including Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes and Limp Bizkit. The title of the forthcoming project is appropriately titled, “Rich Gang.” - DyMNation

#Behindbars Jury Selection Begins In Lil Boosie Murder Trial

Jury selection in the murder trial of Lil Boosie has begun. As of Monday (April 30), 700 residents of Louisiana’s East Baton Rouge Parish were selected as potential jurors in the pending murder case. The large number, up 200 people from the usual 500 citizens chosen at random, was narrowed down to 150 people, who filled out a questionnaire to gauge their ability to serve on the jury. Once the screening process is over, only 12 people will be chosen to decide the fate of the 29-year-old. Given the high-profile nature of the case, extra security has been brought into the courtroom, as a precaution. Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, is suspected of paying for the 2009 murder of Terry Body. Prosecutors in the case will use his lyrics as proof of his involvement in the shooting, but Boosie’s defense attorney maintains that his client was not involved in the murder-for-hire, noting that his lyrics prove nothing. ”Torrence Hatch wrote some of those lyrics,” said his attorney Jason Williams. “There are other artists who wrote other parts of the lyrics. The lyrics have nothing to do with this crime. He’s a rap artist. He has thousands of lyrics.” - DyMNation

#Jezzy President Shouts Out Young Jezzy At The White House Correspondents Dinner

During his speech/comedy routine at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night (Apr. 28), U.S. President and self-admitted rap fan Barack Obama joked about following his impromptu Al Green rendition in January with a take on everyone's favorite Snowman, Young Jeezy. At the 14:30 mark, Obama starts to wrap up his speech by giving a "quick preview of the secret agenda you can expect" if he is re-elected in 2012. "In my first term, I sang Al Green," he says. "In my second term, I'm going with Young Jeezy." Following the nervous laughter from his onlookers (some of whom are likely unfamiliar with Jeezy's brand of thug motivation), Obama followed the joke by saying, "Michelle said, 'Yeeeeah.' I sing that to her sometimes." (Billboard) Video down below : - DyMNation

#OnTv Community Meets Law And Order

Be sure to check this out couch potatoes. It’s not exactly the freshest idea to parody, but “Community’s” take on “Law & Order” in Thursday’s episode was still pretty hilarious. When a yam is found smushed in biology class, it is (of course) up to Troy and Abed to track down the suspect. Shirley, having seen many a crime show, sends them off on their way, while Jeff (obviously) and Annie take on the roles of attorneys. This episode was about the little moments and throwaway lines (not to mention the plentiful “chung-chung!” sounds). I loved Abed telling Troy, “We can’t both do the zinger”; Jeff remarking that Chang’s “There’s nothing to see here” was actually true; and Professor Kane’s admonition, “Need I remind you, this is not a courtroom!” More and more, this season seems to be focusing the most on Jeff (and secondarily, Abed). This week, Jeff decided that winning the case was not all there was to it after Annie nailed whom she thought was the suspect. Instead, it turned out that Fat Neil was the culprit. -CNN- - DyMNation

#MoreNicki Nicki Refuses To Clean Up Her Raps

Nicki refuses to tone down her lyrics and frankly I agree with her; content is content take it for what it is."If you asked any adult, 'Would you like your children knowing every part of your life and speaking exactly the way you speak when you talk to adults?' they'd say no, so I'm a firm believer in children remaining children," the 29-year old rapper said in an interview for the Guardian's Weekend magazine, to be published on Saturday. Nonetheless, she said she gets annoyed when people suggest she should tone down her lyrics for her young audience, claiming it is sexist. "Why do people ask me to lose swear words? Do people ask Eminem to lose swear words? Do they ask Lil Wayne to lose swear words? Nobody stops them and says 'Would you stop swearing swearing... for the children, please?'" She told the Guardian that the sensible solution was to have a clean version for the children and an explicit one for adults. (The Guardian) - DyMNation

DJ Prostyle of Power 105.1 premiered is this afternoon, and Rap Radar comes through with the rip. "They say the coolest players and foulest heartbreakers in the world/God gets us back, he makes us have precious little girls," spits Nas. No slander about the condom flaunting Destiny Jones , please. But props to her pops for actually addressing the issue, and very specifically in the second verse. Not the best hook, if you want to keep it 100, but kudos for tackling such a real topic; daughters need fathers. Life Is Good drops July 17th and for now listen to "Daughters" below.
